EQUANS are looking for 2x Civils Supervisors to be based at Hinkley Power Station working on behalf of EDF. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

General Overview:

•The main purpose of the job is to ensure the safe delivery of works on-site by our direct and sub-contract operatives.

•To provide direction, motivation, supervision, as required by the work, site and company procedures and to oversee the work to ensure high quality workmanship and on-time performance.

•Ensure compliance in relation to organisational procedures for Health, Safety and Environment, Service Delivery, Quality, Finance, Purchasing and HR.

•Interact with Staff, Clients, and external contractors

•Support other areas of operations when required, ie supervise other teams

 

Impact:  

Delivering work safely to required performance standards

 

Complexity:  

•Undertake site inspections to identify the scope and specification for the work.

•Prepare quotations for repairs and maintenance

•Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the delivery of the work

•Understand and prepare a delivery schedule for the work

•Coordinate and control work delivery operations in line with company and site procedures

•Undertake Time in the Field inspections to monitor safety and performance

•Report on performance – daily and weekly

 

Qualifications or Required Experience:

Essential:

•Experience of supervising Sub-Contractors and Direct Reports

•A minimum of five years’ experience in the construction, maintenance and repair industry

•Experience of operating in a nuclear environment or similar heavy industry.

•Be an assertive and motivated individual in order to supervise site based Equans personnel and our sub-contract personnel.

 

Preferable:

•5years experience in working on nuclear power stations or similar heavily regulated industry.

•Holds accreditation in a recognised body such as MWFM or MCIOB or equal and approved.
