In light of upcoming DBFM projects in Flanders, Equans is looking for an experienced Project Director. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate one or more DBFM or D&B projects across the region. What does the job involve?

• lead your project and coordinate all internal and external stakeholders

• manage planning, quality, safety, costs and revenues

• monitor timelines and ensure contractual commitments are met

• maintain strong relationships with public clients and manage negotiations during project execution

• carry out regular cost controls

• collaborate with your team on budgeting and tender preparation

• liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and site teams

• take charge of the technical detailing and follow-up of projects, backed by the engineering office

• define procedures and technical specifications

• coordinate the commissioning of installations

• take full ownership of your projects and tenders

• report directly to the Section Manager

What do you bring to the table?

• a master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

• proven experience as a senior project manager or project director

• experience with public contracts is a strong plus

• solid knowledge of industrial power and control systems; high-voltage experience is a bonus

• leadership skills on site, with a focus on quality, safety, and environment

• commercial mindset, client-focused and results-driven

• pragmatic, hands-on and solution-oriented

• an independent working style within a collaborative team environment

• persistence to meet deadlines and keep things moving

• a passion for precision and numbers

• strong planning, organizational and coordination skills

• fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus
