Equans is recruiting for a Facility Support Engineer to be based at the National Maritime College of Ireland, Cork, P43 XV65 on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary on offer is up to €50,000 per annum, along with a competitive benefits package.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
What will you deliver?
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Respond quickly to breakdown requests to minimize downtime.
- Support installation, upgrades, and adaptation works.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and access equipment safely.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and infection control procedures.
- Assist with Pool Plant Operations (training provided!).
- Keep accurate records and participate in audits.
- Work flexibly within the EQUANS team and undertake training to develop your skills.

Who are we looking for?
- Workshop machinery maintenance experience – lathes, mills, drills.
- Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience.
- Compressor, AHU, and air conditioning maintenance
- Marine maintenance experience (Boat handling skills).
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and priorities.
- Decision making and teamwork ethic.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- PC skills essential
