Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer (RLO)

Location: Silchester Full-time | Apprenticeship

Equans is looking for an Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team in Silchester. This is a full-time apprenticeship role. On offer is a competitive salary, structured training, and a full benefits package.

The Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer serves as a vital link between the construction team and residents, ensuring effective communication and addressing concerns promptly. This role involves being the primary point of contact for residents, facilitating smooth project execution, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

This apprenticeship offers structured training and hands-on experience, providing the ARLO with essential skills and insight into both the construction and customer service sectors within a social housing environment.

What will you deliver?

Main Duties:

• Act as the main point of contact between residents and the construction team during projects. • Communicate project updates, timelines, and potential disruptions clearly and effectively. • Organise and support resident meetings, consultation events, and community engagement days. • Maintain accurate records of all resident interactions and provide administrative support to the site team. • Monitor on-site progress and resident concerns, escalating issues where necessary. • Work collaboratively with site managers, health & safety teams, and external stakeholders. • Support the delivery of construction works in occupied housing environments with minimal disruption. • Enrol in and complete a formal apprenticeship programme with regular reviews, mentoring, and training.

Support Provided

Who are you?

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach • Genuine interest in construction, housing, and customer service • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education and Qualifications

• GCSE level education (or equivalent) • Full, current, valid UK driving licence
