EQUANS is looking for a Finance & Billing Assistant to join our team based at Sandwell Hospital, Hallam Street, West Bromwich, B71 4HJ on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
Responsible for delivering in line with the business’s financial processes across the Sandwell and West Birmingham contract. Must have a “can do” attitude with the flexibility and adaptability to be a team member in a changing business environment.
What will you deliver?
- Assist in the Management of WIP through running WIP reports and ensuring costs are captured accurately, including parts and materials Review and manage outstanding costs for billable jobs
- Issue WIP reports on a monthly basis to the Trust and actively partake in these, responding to queries from the Trust
- Collate and issue payment application to the Trust in line with contractual timescales
- Undertake POEM and GRIR reviews and work with the administration & technical team and the Finance Business Partner to ensure supplier invoice queries are resolved
- Liaise with the Helpdesk team/Maximo reports to establish status of jobs prior to billing
- Serve as a link between Operations and Finance in providing prompt feedback to queries raised, and escalating issues where necessary to the management team.
- Chase and assist in the management of all contractual debt
- Raise and issue all invoices to the Client

Who are you?
- Experience of working in a finance capacity preferably in a facilities management / Estate’s organisation
- Good financial & commercial acumen
- Ability to analyse complex date with accuracy
- Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills
- Excellent planning and administration skills
- Open to innovation and new ways of working
- Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP systems e.g. SAP, Oracle
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate good time management skills, working to deadlines and adhering to set procedures.
- Prior experience of CAFM systems (SAP, Coupa & Maximo) essential
- Ability to work in a focused manner with the ability to prioritise workload and requests
- Experience of purchasing and managing supplier delivery
