Summary 

We are seeking a versatile, proactive and organized Facilities Support Technician to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical facility. This role is vital in supporting the operations teams by providing various operational services, including but limited to mail room operations, office supply management, event setup, and general maintenance assistance. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

Description 

Key Responsibilities

Mail Room Services:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely and accurate distribution throughout the facility.
  • Maintain mailroom equipment and supplies, reporting any issues or shortages to the Facilities Manager.

Office and Inventory Supplies:

  • Monitor and maintain office and inventory supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are available.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of supplies and equipment as needed.

 

Office and Furniture Moves:

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of office and furniture moves within the facility.
  • Ensure proper setup and organization of workspaces to meet operational needs.

Event and Conference Room Setup:

  • Support the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring all equipment and materials are in place.
  • Coordinate with event organizers to ensure specific requirements are met.

Subcontractor and Client Stakeholder Escorting:

  • Escort subcontractors and client stakeholders throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with security and safety protocols.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external parties, addressing inquiries and facilitating access as needed.

General Facility Inspections and Maintenance Support:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Assist maintenance teams with general maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and upkeep of common areas.

GMP Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and facility regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Is authorized to work in the US
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in s facilities support or similar role, preferably within a pharmaceutical or industrial environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning or logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
