Electrician

EQUANS is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Leiston on a permanent basis for our EDF contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.  

General Overview:  
• Skilled operative to carry out PPM / reactive tasks and LV electrical installations. 
• Must have a good working knowledge of electrical installs, electrical repairs and fault finding. 
• Must have a flexible “can do” approach, be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
Impact:
• Able to prioritise tasks from PPM’s and Helpdesk Requests, reacting to breakdowns and changing priorities.
• Safe system and work control system closeout
• Ability to stay calm during major incidents and relay accurate information to the Electrical supervisor. 
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask

Complexity: 
• Understanding the operational requirements of Sizewell B Power Station.  
• Able to prioritize works, managing a large workload, working as a team and while achieving financial performance targets.

Qualifications or Required Experience: 
• Completed recognised qualification / apprenticeship
• City & Guilds qualifications in electrical installation and inspect and test – Desirable
• 18th Edition qualification
• Experience in working in a large team. 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
• ATEX qualification would be advantageous
