Equans is looking for a Site Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £39,000 – £42,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package. 

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 0800 – 1630.

What will you deliver?

  • Respond to reactive breakdowns and complete PPM tasks as per appointment and competency
  • Conduct small electrical installations or repairs as needed
  • Perform annual and monthly emergency lighting checks
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly PPM checks
  • Take regular meter readings
  • Maintain plant rooms, storerooms, and other work areas, ensuring they are tidy and well-organized
  • Conduct water hygiene (L8) checks
  • Identify and address safety hazards
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure control of permits and supervise work
  • Monitor and report stock levels and spares to the Electrical Supervisor
  • Manage deliveries of materials and items
  • Ensure that all maintenance and project records are accurate and up to date

Who are we looking for?

  • Electrical C&G Level 2 & 3 with AM2 (Essential)

  • Apprentice trained Electrical Level 2 & 3

  • 18th Edition (Essential)

  • C&G 2391 (Testing and Inspection) – (Desirable)

  • Water Hygiene L8

  • Knowledge of M&E standards
