Equans ANZ, a leading provider of technical services across Australia & New Zealand, and globally, is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to be an important part of a small yet experienced team of multi-skilled technicians that work across a wide variety of sites and industries across the Greater Melbourne area.

What you will be doing

• Provide both preventative maintenance and reactive work to a range of different clients.
• Effectively diagnose problems and perform work of a technical nature on air conditioning systems.
• Self-manage workload with the ability to determine job priorities and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose issues and provide solutions, repairing on the spot or sourcing products / prices and providing scopes for quoting further works.
• Establish and maintain relationships with our customers ensuring concerns and complaints are proactively addressed.
• Work closely with other colleagues and managers within the region to foster a strong team environment.
• Maintain a current industry knowledge and keep self-updated with changes and advances in refrigeration, air conditioning systems and technology
• You will be provided with training and development for a variety of different work required across multiple sites.
• You will be working on any one of our client sites that include schools, government, commercial and industrial buildings.

 About you

• Be a qualified HVAC technician, minimum 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously, find & diagnose faults, provide solutions & quote repair works.
• Competent in filling out detailed maintenance & service reports, along with capturing and updating assets electronically.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Professional presentation and communication skills, with a strong customer focus.
• Willing to undergo national police check & full medical including drug and alcohol testing.

 Skills and experience

• HVAC experience within the commercial maintenance industry.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Applicable Trade licence.
• ARCtick Refrigerant Handling licence.
• Restricted electrical licence.
• Construction induction safety card (whitecard).
• Working with Children Check.
