EQUANS is looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our team in London KT6 5PJ on A permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

The Technical Services Manager will provide support to the Account Manager & Senior Regional Account Manager with management of all aspects of Hard FM delivery on the project. You will provide technical expertise and assist with the delivery and implementation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and will oversee delivery of all Reactive Works. They will be commercially astute, providing support and technical guidance to the Account Manager in the resolution of defects and other works across the project.

What will you deliver? 

  • Operational management within a Hard FM / TFM environment
  • Oversight and accountability for all Planned Preventative Maintenance requirements
  • Direct Line management and development a team of 6 multiskilled maintenance engineers, ensuring high quality engagement and communication and the delivery of contractual expectations and requirements.
  • Management of subcontracted works, ensuring all safety rules & procedures are adhered to.
  • Delivering and ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and, where required, drawing in wider support to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Being able to influence others, through a pragmatic and positive approach to problem solving and opportunity building, with consideration of both short-term and long-term ramifications of decisions and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of technical disciplines, including but not limited to Water Safety (L8), Fire Safety, Electrical Safety.
  • Fulfil the role of the Responsible Person for Water Hygiene & Legionella control
  • Informing and supporting the implementation of the rolling 5-year lifecycle plan
  • Understanding of Statutory & Technical Compliance requirements
  • Implementation & management of Health & Safety processes.
  • Contractual awareness, preferably within PFI / DBFMO
  • Required to participate in the management on-call rota

Who are we looking for? 

  • Demonstrable experience in operational management within a Hard FM environment, ideally within the Student Accommodation sector or a PFI / DBFMO contract
  • Proven track record in managing staff and subcontractors effectively
  • Experience in customer relationship management, with a focus on building strong client partnerships
  • Knowledge and understanding of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence
