Equans is looking for a Fencer to join our team in Birmingham on a Permanent basis. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

The Fencer would provide responsive roofing repairs to properties in Birmingham, which would consist of pitched and flat roof repairs. 

What will you deliver?

  • Install various types of fencing, including wooden, metal, and vinyl fences, according to specifications and client requirements.
  • Maintain and repair existing fencing structures, addressing any damage or wear and tear.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the best approach for fencing installation or repair.
  • Measure and mark out fence lines, ensuring accurate and level installation.
  • Dig post holes and set fence posts securely in concrete or other materials.
  • Attach fencing panels, rails, and gates, ensuring all components are securely fastened and aligned.
  • Perform regular inspections of fencing to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest fencing techniques and materials.

Who are we looking for?

  • Level 2 Diploma in Fencing or equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS / FISS card.
  • CAT & Genny training required (underground services)  
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction  
  • Proven experience as a Fencer in a construction or repairs and maintenance setting.
  • Strong understanding of fencing techniques, materials, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to fencing work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurement and installation.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence
