Equans is looking for a Head of Social Impact to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

 

The Head of Social Impact is a senior role in within the CSR department, responsible for the delivering the Social Value strategy within the Sustainable FM business division.  This role will ensure that the organisation operates ethically and responsibly, contributing positively to society while also achieving our business goals.

 

What will you deliver?

  • Responsible and Lead on implementation of our social impact strategy, aligned to our UK business plan
  • Support the Procurement & CSR director in developing our UK social impact strategy
  • Align our social impact strategy with our clients’ priorities, to create differential value for EQUANS
  • Implement a collaborative approach to our social impact plans – engaging stakeholders (incl Procurement, L&D HR teams etc.), customers, clients and our supply chain
  • Embed the National Social Value Taskforce Themes, Outcomes, and Measures (TOM) framework and the UK Government’s Social Value Model into our operations

  • Lead on the development of social value propositions for tender and business development activities
  • Integrate our social value strategy within our Trainee, Apprenticeship and Graduate strategy
  • Developing and implementing bespoke social value strategies to support bid and strategic activity
  • Develop and implement relevant social themes and measurements, with clear reporting and output measurement tools
  • Manage and report on the social value and sustainability performance, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Develop specific plans for each Market communities
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to align social value plans with community aspirations
  • Coordinate training, employment, and community engagement initiatives in line with social value objectives
  • Clearly communicate and present the positive impact social value activity has, to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of social and environmental issues and trends
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and impact measurement
  • Implement the EQUANS way effectively and consistently
  • Work in accordance with EQUANS SHEQ policies

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in Community engagement, sustainability or a related field  Demonstrated success in developing and leading social impact programs and initiatives
  • Social value practitioner Pathway: This includes levels such as Social Value Associate, Accredited Practitioner, and Advanced Practitioner to support the success of the role
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external parties
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Social Value data recording tools and grant/funding programmes
