EQUANS is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team based in Blackburn or Newcastle upon Tyne on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

You will assist the Life Cycle Finance Business Partner in financial and administrative tasks related to the Life Cycle part of the Healthcare & Education business to ensure effective, timely and accurate data is provided. Support with Accounts Receivable and Credit Control. To provide administrative support to Manchester Joint Hospitals contract if required.

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Weekly and Monthly Reporting of Debtors position for all sites within the Life Cycle Business.
  • Monthly Reconciliation of Debtors to the Finance Reporting system BPC and SAP.
  • To assist in producing Monthly Lifecycle Reports and extract invoice copies from SAP.
  • Produce Purchase Orders on an Ad Hoc basis.
  • Monitoring of Life Cycle related to Variations within the FM side of the business to ensure all revenue is accounted for.
  • Produce Monthly Sales Invoices as per Contractual Invoice schedule and ad-hoc Invoices as required on a timely basis.
  • Consistently monitor and chase overdue payments in line with contractual payment terms.
  • Monitor and reconcile the Variations to invoice per site and raise appropriate Sales Invoices.
  • Reconciliations as required by Finance Managers.
  • Use initiative to maintain and achieve targeted results.
  • Work under the direction of and report to Finance Business Partner.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policy.
  • Obtain back up data for all Lifecycle Works as required.
  • Update inflation Calculations as required.
  • Liaison with the ICT and quality teams regarding innovations and improvements to the systems and processes.
  • Housekeeping issues on the debtor’s ledger.
  • Targeted reduction of older debtors.
  • Liaise with the Survey team, Operations team, Finance team, as necessary.

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
  • Experience of Reconciliations.
  • Raising of Sales Invoices.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good IT Skills (Excel).
  • Experience of providing an effective administrative support function.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Credit Control experience.
  • SAP experience, not essential.

This role includes a Standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
