Job Title: Resident Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Engineer
Location: Alderley Park, Macclesfield (1 site with 40 buildings)
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per year (based on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Mon – Fri (Standard working hours with possible out-of-hours callout shifts)

Are you technically experienced in LEV systems and customer-oriented?

We are seeking a dedicated Residential LEV Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality service regarding fume cupboards and LEV systems at the Alderley Park estate, which includes 40 buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact, improve systems, and build strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out statutory compliance testing of Class 1 and Class 2 fume cupboards

  • Identify and implement proactive improvements to LEV systems

  • Conduct small repairs to fume cupboards

  • Respond to reactive repair requests

  • Perform plantroom cleaning and inspections

  • Join an out-of-hours callout rota for emergency support

  • Supervise and escort contractors as required

  • Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • P601 Qualification (Essential)

  • COSHH training (Essential)

Experience:

  • Experience working with fume cupboards (Class 1 & 2)

  • Familiarity with using computers, tablets, phones, and CAFM systems

  • Previous experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) plant systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Active role requiring walking in excess of 10,000 steps per day
