Equans is looking for a Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Staffordshire. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Expected to perform a wide range of duties covering all aspects of grounds and gardens maintenance across all stations
- Tasks will include, but not be limited to mowing and strimming; weeding and pruning; seasonal planting; general upkeep and tidiness; winter gritting and litter picking
- Maintain footpaths, walkways, car parks and other hard standing areas as well as cleaning snow from pedestrian areas and carrying out any necessary repair work
- Carry out lawn inspections and apply fertilizers and pesticides as required
- As we work within the general public, we need you to ensure everything is carried out within Health & Safety guidelines and the Groups Health & Safety policy is adhered to
- Operating a wide range of machinery, (i.e.) rotovator, strimmer, pressure washer, blower
- Please Note: This is an outdoors role, so you will need to be prepared to work outside all year round, in the glorious British weather (that includes snow, rain or shine)

Who are you?
-
Experience in a ground’s maintenance role
-
Proven experience of delivering a high-quality service with an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate those expectations to the rest of the team to achieve the same high standards

Experience of completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements

A successful applicant will be police vetted and Enhanced DBS checked which Must come back clear to be offered the position

Valid driving licence

A PA1 & PA6 Spraying qualification is desirable but not essential
This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
