Maintenance Assistant
Equans is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Alert House, Wiseman Street, Burnley, BB11 1RU on a permanent basis working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 1 hour lunch
What will you deliver?
- Organise, manage and monitor PPM’s
- Rectify corrective works raised on the completed PPM’s
- Assist the technical team with issues across the sites when required
- Carry out minor routine maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme, including pre-planned maintenance tasks during the school holidays.
- Monitor and adjust as necessary to ensure plant and associated systems perform within set limits.
- Carry out internal and external routine inspections of the school premises.
- Assist in the preparation of reports. Maintain and update records as appropriate.
- May be needed for the support of out of hours activities including On call when required.
- Ensure adequate supplies and other consumable items are available for job completion.
- Ensure the correct procedures are followed for the safe and efficient handling of waste.
- Respond in a safe manner to the effects of adverse weather conditions.

Project Co-ordinator - 12 month FTC
Equans is looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join our projects team working on our HMCTS contract at our office in Coleshill on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week working from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Who are we looking for?
- Experience in delivering high quality administrative and/or project co-ordination services within an FM/construction, consultancy, project management and/or contracting environment in a well organised, disciplined and controlled fashion
- Experience with tracking financial progress on projects and dealing with supplier/contractor payments and client invoicing

- Developed knowledge of Microsoft packages and SharePoint

Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Account Director will be responsible for ensuring the strategic delivery of contracted services on the Tameside and Salford Hospitals contract. They will have budgetary responsibility and be responsible for the leadership of the operational team.

Commercial Manager
Equans is looking for a Commercial Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial delivery across a portfolio of PFI contracts, working closely with the Sector Director. They will provide contract commercial management and profit improvement, risk and opportunity management along with focus on compliance.
The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and internal BU leadership and functions.
The Commercial Manager will lead commercial management resources to ensure effective and pro-active commercial management of the allocated contracts.
Holding collective responsibility with Account senior management team to improve operations and deliver against financial plans.
What will you deliver?
- Analysing and managing risk including assessing the revenue opportunity vs. cost and risk
- Managing and securing internal approvals for new bid opportunities
- Managing the commercial viability of variations
- Leading negotiations encompassing multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations and flow-downs
- Supporting the management of PFI Lifecycle funds
- Producing reports and summaries (ad hoc and regular) which articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audience
- Experienced in defining, driving and overseeing commercial & contract governance
- Leading governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract are being complied with
- Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other Equans colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc)
- Enforcing commercial compliance (by audit and support against Equans Minimum Commercial Standards)
- Being professional and equitable negotiators and dispute resolvers but ultimately
- Rebutting unfounded contractual claims
- Taking a key role in the management of contractual claims / disputes with clients and other third-parties
- Production of claims to any potential contentious contractual issue that may arise
- Ensure full commercial governance to all subcontractors/suppliers
- Provide day to day commercial support to the varying Suite of Contracts and their respective management teams

Sustainability Compliance Manager
Equans are recruiting for an Sustainability Compliance Manager to be based in either Wath upon Dearne in South Yorkshire, Nottingham or Coleshill in Birmingham. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview: Working alongside the Director of Sustainability the main purpose of this role is to manage the PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Accreditations for the business, ensuring best practice implementation of the standards on all domestic energy efficiency schemes and management of the in-house compliance team.
To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.
What will you deliver?
- Work closely with the Regional Senior Management Team and Business Development Team to identify opportunities for EQUANS around retrofit, leading and supporting on client needs around Energy Efficiency Works
- Manage the regional Sustainability Compliance Team in order to support wider business objectives on growth and delivery of schemes
- Providing guidance and support to operational teams ensuring all Retrofit schemes are delivered in line with funding and technical compliance i.e. PAS 2030:2023, PAS 2035:2023, MCS etc, working closely with Central Sustainability Team to ensure compliance.
- Be the ‘regional expert’ on Energy Efficiency standards, ensuring the Senior Leadership Teams are kept up to date on market opportunities to drive the Business Plan
- Manage and maintain PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Accreditations, managing relationships with certification bodies to maintain Equans accreditations, whilst implementing best practice delivery
- Manage, implement and delivery PAS 2030:2023 and MCS Quality Management processes
- Produce regular management reports to the wider Sustainability Team and Regional Delivery Team of compliance progress against site production, identifying any performance issues against key business KPI’s

Our Category Managers play a pivotal role in maximising the value of Procurement at Equans UK&I by executing a structured, collaborative approach to category projects that optimises the procurement of similar products and services. This specific role within the UK BU Central Procurement Team will focus on the Direct HUB, encompassing a wide range of categories.
By strategically managing these sub-categories, Category Managers drive efficiencies, enhance collaboration, and secure value-driven outcomes for the business.
This Category Manager role within the Central Procurement team is responsible for managing key procurement Hard service categories across our facilities management, regeneration/refurb, energy & digital services businesses. The categories in scope for the role are currently Plant hire (machinery & equipment), Building materials and fabric, Plumbing & Heating equipment rental, Engineering consultants. The role involves creating and implementing a long-term sourcing plan for the development of the categories to achieve the best value for Equans. The role also involves identifying opportunities and leveraging the combined category spend in negotiating strategic frameworks with key suppliers in ensuring Equans achieves the best outcome for its external spend.
The Category Manager will own the category structure that allows the company to segment its supplier base. Using the segmentation, the Category Manager will create a category strategy in coordination with a network of internal stakeholders belonging to operations, sustainability and health & safety teams, identifying key focus areas for the year by leveraging company-wide spend.
What will you deliver?
- Strategic management of the allocated Hard Services allocated: analysis of spend & business needs, anticipation of future needs, supplier market analysis and market dynamics - Management of the related supply chain, contract extension/renewal, launch and drive end to end RFP/RFQ processes, etc
- Leading the development of procurement strategies in close cooperation with business operations and procurement stakeholders activating all spend reduction levers
- Defining and implementing an action plan to deploy strategies for BUs/entities to effectively reduce their external spend on the category and/or mitigate market increases
- Steering economic performance (external spend reduction), supplier performance on category
- Adapting strategy in response to changes (market, internal budgets, technologies
- Supporting operational entities in the implementation and monitoring of supplier policy defined for the category

General Overview

Part Time Cleaner
Equans is looking for a Part time Cleaner to join our team in Wigan Police Station, WN5 0UP on a permanent basis, This is a part time role working 20 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £14,026.46 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday 10:00am -14:00pm
What will you deliver?
As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
To undertake general cleaning duties as required including but not limited to the following: cleaning of floors, toilets, furniture and fittings, emptying bins and other receptacles and removal of rubbish.
You will be required to attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements and for self-development purposes.
You will be required to go through enhanced vetting by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) covering criminal history.
