Training will be provided to expand your knowledge to meet the Multi-Service Technician requirements.

What you will be doing

  • Inspect, test, and maintain portable fire equipment such as extinguishers, hose reels, and related devices according to Australian Standards, client contracts, and company policies.
  • Basic wet and dry fire testing and supporting specialised technicians
  • Ensure all maintenance and inspection activities are accurately documented using Logbooks and associated forms in a legible and timely manner.
  • Manage, report, and maintain stock levels of portable fire equipment to meet service schedules and client demands.
  • Maintain assigned company property including tools, vehicles, and documentation responsibly.
  • Perform and assist with technical work on building services equipment in accordance with Equans safety, quality and customer standards ensuring that the Company is meeting its objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with our customers ensuring concerns and complaints are proactively addressed.
  • Work closely with other colleagues and managers to foster a strong team environment.
  • You will be provided with training and development for a variety of different work required across multiple sites.
  • Be part of the on-call rostered team

About you

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and upskill.
  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing portable fire equipment.
  • Well-developed customer service skills & neat and professional presentation.
  • Commitment to upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards in all work activities.

 Skills and experience

  • Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing is required.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards AS1851 and AS1905.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and analytical skills.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • Ability to pass National Police Check and WWC Check.
