About the Role
As the Project Manager – Fire Detection & Electrical Dry, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of light commercial and minor works projects, from business development and estimating through to project delivery and financial performance.
You will work closely with builders, contractors, and clients to identify opportunities, prepare competitive tenders, manage project delivery, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, leadership capability, and client relationship management skills.
About You
We’re looking for a dynamic project professional who combines technical expertise with strong commercial instincts and a passion for customer service.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Project Management within the fire services, electrical or construction industry.
- Demonstrated success managing commercial fire installation projects.
- Strong estimating, tendering and budget management capability.
- Sound understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and National Construction Code (NCC).
- Extensive knowledge of:
- AS1670 Fire Detection Systems
- AS4118 Occupant Warning Systems
- AS2419 Fire Hydrant Systems
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading project teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability.
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Qualifications
- Technical certificates, licences or trade qualifications relevant to the industry.
- Project Management qualifications highly regarded.
- Business Management qualifications desirable.
