Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team in University of West London, Brentford, TW8 9GA  on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is an annual salary of £31,077.22 and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday from 14:00-22:00 

1 hour paid break 

What will you deliver?

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding the site, staff, visitors, and assets. Your duties include monitoring and managing access control, conducting regular patrols, responding promptly to incidents, and enforcing compliance with all security policies and procedures. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment, preventing unauthorized entry, and deterring criminal activity.

Who are we looking for?

  • Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence
  • Proven experience in a security or related field
  • First Aid Certification
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety regulations
  • Experience using security systems such as CCTV and access control equipment
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Customer service skills
  • Physical ability to perform security duties
  • Flexibility and availability for various shifts
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Computer skills
  • Training in security protocols and emergency response procedures
