Equans is looking for a Cleaning Team Leader to join our team in Mithras Halls, Lewes Road, BN2 4QX on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,888.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 

Monday to Friday 0800-1700 

What will you deliver?

To be responsible for Cleaning Operatives in defined areas and performance of the Cleaning Service elements of the contract within delegated limits.

1    Responsible for performance of the cleaning service and demonstrating continuous approval of performance standards as required by the contract.
2    Ensure monitoring of performance against the KPI’s is adhered to.
3    Oversee and support self-auditing processes to maintain high standards.
4    Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations are complied with at all times
5    Ensure the effective use of equipment and materials. Reporting all faults to the Residence Manager
6    Assist with stock management, including ordering and inventory control.
7    Train new staff members and deliver toolbox talks, to all staff, on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company expectations.
8    Review task based Risk Assessments periodically, to ensure compliance.

9    Organise and coordinate cover for staff absences, including sickness and annual leave.
10   Responsible for looking after cleaning supplies and stores used/required, including all Health and safety aspects.
11  Responsible for organising periodic/special resources cleans, as per contractual specification/ as required.
12   Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives across the cleaning team.
13  Support and organise summer school lets in accordance with contractual requirements.

Who are we looking for?

    Ideally BICS trained.
    Experience in a leading role.
    Excellent understanding of cleaning processes, materials, and equipment use and ordering.
    Ability to use computers to a good standard, including online systems, and Microsoft packages.
