Equans is looking for a Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Working hours will either be 08:00 to 16:00 or 09:00 to 17:00
We are recruiting a highly skilled Quality & Compliance Manager to lead and drive the quality assurance, compliance, governance, and continuous improvement agenda across our PFI Healthcare Facilities Management contract(s). This key role ensures all services meet contractual requirements, healthcare regulations, statutory standards, and Equans policies, maintaining the highest levels of safety, sustainability, and service excellence.
You will work collaboratively with operational teams, clients, healthcare stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal governance to embed a culture focused on accountability, risk-awareness, and performance excellence across healthcare estates.
What will you deliver?
- Develop, implement, and continually improve quality management systems in line with Equans standards, healthcare contracts, and ISO management system frameworks.
- Lead and coordinate risk-based audits, compliance inspections, statutory assessments, and certification processes, ensuring thorough preparation and effective issue resolution.
- Manage non-conformance, corrective and preventive actions, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance registers, audit schedules, risk logs, and document control systems to guarantee audit readiness and contractual compliance.
- Monitor and report on service quality, compliance, health & safety, environmental, and sustainability KPIs.
- Administer contractual Payment Mechanism processes, managing performance deductions and supporting evidence to safeguard contract performance.
- Promote compliance culture through training, briefings, and sharing best practices.
- Support Equans’ sustainability goals including carbon reduction, waste management, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare premises guidance, technical standards, and local client requirements.
- Provide timely support to operational teams and stakeholders and participate in contract management meetings and on-call rotations as required.

Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience in quality, compliance, audit, or governance within facilities management or a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks, preferably in PFI healthcare or NHS estates.
- Proficient knowledge of quality management systems, audit methodologies, document control, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements relevant to FM services (health & safety, fire, water hygiene, electrical safety, etc.).
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 and awareness of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of producing clear, professional reports and liaising confidently with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and audit outcomes to support operational decision-making.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills, managing multiple deadlines effectively.
- Disclosure Scotland vetting under the PVG Scheme is mandatory.
