Senior Project Planner


EQUANS are recruiting for a Senior Project Planner to be based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

The role of the senior project planner is to directly manage the planning team to ensure the scheduling and planning the work, ensuring the operatives / engineers are fully utilised, jobs are closed in a timely manner and appointments are booked in for any works not completed at first visit are completed in an efficient manner.

Key Accountabilities

To take ownership and lead on the various tasks carried out by the planners ensuring they are carried out to a high standard, including but not limited to:

  • Scheduling appointments through Equans IT system currently Castleton Maintain
  • Ensuring the operative / engineer is fully utilized throughout the day
  • Arranging follow on appointments for any jobs not completed on first visit.
  • Closing jobs in the system complete or cancelled as the day unfolds.
  • Communication with operatives / Engineers on site
  • Written and verbal communication with MCC / Northwards
  • Dealing with the repairs chase mailbox
  • Customer Satisfaction surveys
  • Critical numbers report closed out daily
  • Administration task are completed in a timely manor
  • Carrying out regular reviews and PDR’s
  • Ownership of operational processes eg Scaffold register, training

Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:

  • Compliance with Equans procedures and processes
  • Maintain and care for all Equans property
  • To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
  • To ensure areas of work areas left clean and tidy at the end of the day
  • Liaison with all stakeholders
  • Material co-ordination
  • Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant documentation
  • To oversee/assist in the training of new starters as required
  • Any other reasonable management request

Mechanical Engineer


Equans is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week, between the hours 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday. There is also an on-call rota. On offer is a salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
 

What will you deliver?

  • Perform the complete range of Mechanical Technician tasks as required or directed by management
  • Be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory
  • Understand the operation of water systems and to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities
  • Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision
  • Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions
  • Maintain records and logbooks, ensuring they are kept up to date and available for inspection
  • Record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system
  • Carry out on call duties as part of a rota

Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Reading Magistrates Court, Civic Centre, Castle Street, Reading, RG1 7TQ on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.

Maintenance Assistant


Equans is looking for a Maintenance Assistant (Mechanical) to work on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week, between the hours 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday. On offer is a salary of £24,000 per annum and benefits package.
 

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake a proactive role in carrying out first response to reactive jobs and complete the higher level tasks such as Vent cleans, Light Cleans, Unblocking of toilets Etc.
  • Undertake a proactive role in carrying out the high level maintenance and inspection of mechanical, electrical and associated building services.  All in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance
  • As part of a engineering team you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various Services across site on various aspects of the building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract
  • Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
  • Ensure liaison with Wards and Departments as required, ensuring there is minimum disruption whilst carrying out work
  • Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service

Maintenance Electrician


Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team providing building services maintenance at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, 7am-3.30pm/10am-6.30pm (alternating weekly) Monday to Friday. 

 

The role:

  • Reporting to the Shift Lead / Operations Manager
  • To deliver electrical planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works
  • To oversee specialist sub-contractors, and manage contractors as necessary, working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
  • To ensure that PPM and Reactive tasks are attended to in accordance with the contract timescales at all times.
  • To cover for other technicians as necessary
  • To participate in the on call rota, and carry out overtime as required
  • Working 40 hours per week, 7am-3.30pm/10am-6.30pm (alternating weekly) Monday to Friday

 
The person:

  • Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to minimum level 2 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Good knowledge of electrical testing, fault finding, maintenance, refurbishment and install.
  • Must be able to work independently and when appropriate as part of a team.
  • Willing to attain cross skilling
  • Must have extensive experience of building services in a maintenance role
  • Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose technical faults
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT literate, and ambition for personal development

Mechanical Technician


Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician (Water) to work on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. What will you deliver?

  • Perform the complete range of Mechanical Technician (Water) tasks as required or directed by management
  • Be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory
  • Understand the operation of water systems and to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities
  • Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision
  • Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions
  • Maintain records and logbooks, ensuring they are kept up to date and available for inspection
  • Record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system
  • Take part in out of hours on call as per business needs
  • After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP’s, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces
