In this role, you bring indirect procurement to life, from need definition to contract follow-up, in close contact with internal clients. You work in a coordinated Brussels environment where quality interactions and a strong understanding of business challenges shape every decision.

  • contribute to the implementation of the mission, strategy and objectives of Procurement BeLux
  • process purchase requests in line with defined policies and service levels
  • manage buyer and contract management files for IT, HR, Finance, Communication and Real Estate
  • analyse internal needs and translate them into appropriate purchasing strategies
  • lead negotiations and draft contracts with a strong focus on value creation and risk control
  • apply and promote purchasing policy, processes and governance among stakeholders
  • use procurement methodologies and tools, with support from Procurement Excellence
  • work closely with internal clients and act as a single point of contact
  • monitor and communicate procurement results and savings achieved
  • manage contracts throughout their lifecycle and support situations requiring mediation
  • contribute to category management and supplier relationship management (SRM)

Come as you are, ideally with:

  • a master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • at least 7 years of experience in indirect spend
  • in-depth knowledge of procurement, including negotiation, contract management, financial and cost management, and procurement law
  • hands-on experience with procurement tools
  • a good command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • an understanding of the activities of support entities
  • well-developed communication and influencing skills with a wide range of stakeholders
  • spoken and written proficiency in at least two of the following languages: English, French and Dutch

The Equans Fire Protection Services Team are looking to expand our team to service some of Adelaide’s premier establishments such as the Department of Defence facilities, Adelaide Airport and SA Housing Trust.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to service and maintain mechanical fire protection systems (sprinkler) and equipment according to the relevant Australian Standards whilst exceeding customer service expectations at every available opportunity.

What you will be doing

  • Survey customer premises and recommend mechanical fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Equans’ procedures and processes.
  • Conduct inspection, testing, installation, repair and maintenance of fire Sprinkler Systems and other associated equipment in accordance with Equans procedures and processes, and Australian Standards.
  • Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using the logbooks and associated documents, in an accurate and legible manner.
  • Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management and service delivery.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity / Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Participate in the on call roster.

A typical day involves

  • Investigating and troubleshooting of issues on sprinkler, gas, foam, and hydrant systems.
  • Collecting and ordering parts.
  • Liaising with clients and RAAF personnel.
  • Completing and receiving jobs on tablet.
  • Installing and rectification of fire wet systems.
  • Servicing of existing systems.

What you need

  • You will have strong communications skills, sound experience with all wet fire requirements and standards, along with the ability to respond to and report on all reactive and proactive client needs.
  • Experience working within defence facilities would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous experience in driving process compliance.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Up to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information.
  • A solid knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment.

Mobile Technical Operative - Fabric


EQUANS are looking for a Mobile Technical Operative (Fabric) – this role will be covering Leicester and Northampton areas for our HMCTS contract. There will be 13 courts covered across the area including Magistrates, Combined Courts, Tribunal Buildings etc. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week – overtime is also available. On offer is a competitive salary of £28,500, a company van, additional training/qualifications and benefits package.

General Overview: 

The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equan processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs, free standing and fitted furniture, doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture.

•Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems, unblock toilets and sinks

•Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices

•Carry out Ad-Hoc activities supporting Equans and client team including moves/changes

•Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.

•Ensure that suitable consumables are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.

•Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed accurately regarding planned and reactive activities and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator/ Helpdesk.

•Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.

•To develop a good working relationship with all members of Equans staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.

•Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.

•Ensure the professional image of Equans is presented to clients at all times

•Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of Equans are kept in a clean and tidy condition.

•Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site carrying out associated Fabric tasks

•To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.

•To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.

•Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, and an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.

•The position will require you to provide support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.

•Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests

•Production of information for quotations

Helpdesk - PPM

•Support the Helpdesk as required when reporting or updating planned and reactive activities

•Be available for out of hours call-out support for the contract if required

Compliance

•To gain Technical Appointments as required e.g. LVCP and Water Hygiene CP to permit Lamp changing and L8 activities e.g tap flushing

•Produce Condition / Dilapidation Reports as required for fabric assets

•Ensure supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur

SHEQ

•Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager

•Ensure you work to company health and safety policy

•Ensue PPE is safe to use

•Report accident and near misses in a timely manner

•Ensure your test equipment is within calibration

•Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works

Impact: 

Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Fabric Tech who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor’s, producing high quality reports on their findings and work.

Complexity: 

The successful candidate will have the ability to work unaided and build rapports with end users and customers, promoting EQUANS’ values. 

Have an excellent knowledge of carpentry and/or painting/decorating techniques.

Have an eye for detail and be conscious of quality standards.

Qualifications or Required Experience: 

Suitable experience working in a similar high demanding role.

Demonstrable experience in either carpentry, painting or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment. Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques.

EQUANS is looking for a Service Coordinator - Helpdesk to join our team on our HMCTS contract based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4) on a 12 month fixed-term contract. Project Co-ordinator


EQUANS are recruiting for an Projects Co-Ordinator to be based in Crewe. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27, 746 - £30,000 doe and benefits package. 

General Overview

Equans deliver a comprehensive and quality service to our multi-sector customers across the UK. We provide a 24/7 reactive/planned preventative maintenance service for technical building services and undertake some specialist Project work involving plant replacements and refurbishments of commercial properties.

The role is office/home based with a necessity to attend meetings across different sites as well as our local office in Crewe.  This role is fundamental support to a Project Management team within a Facility’s Management account supporting construction and general project management on behalf of Cheshire East Council.

This will require an experienced person with presence, commitment, exceptional management competencies and communication skills to ensure that the contracts financial budgets, quality, health & safety and operational commitments are met and exceeded.

This role will be part of a projects team within a Facilities Management Account who provide service to Cheshire East Council and will be responsible for the back-office co-ordination and administration of a catalogue of minor works and capital works up the value of £250k each totalling circa. £5m per annum and supporting the helpdesk lead with housekeeping of Purchase Orders and the asset management Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), system.

Key Accountabilities

  • Preparation of final accounts for all capital & minor works projects
  • Creation of labour utilisation reports for all project’s operatives on a weekly basis
  • Management of POEM across the account in conjunction with the senior project managers and finance business partner
  • Creation of IOs for all new projects on the account and updating the projects tracker accordingly
  • Management of all POs across projects & minor works on COUPA including raising and receipting them.
  • Management of purchase card logs for all project managers and minor works managers.
  • Appraisal of earnt values via the WIP report and meetings with project managers to allow accurate billing.
  • Monitor and manage project WIP/Debt to an acceptable level.
  • Ensure financial policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented and monitored
  • Attend meetings with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and other company members as necessary.
  • Responsible for the management of the capital projects tracker and ensuring all data it contains is correct to allow for accurate financial forecasts.
  • Ensuring all timesheets for projects operatives is inputted into SAP in a timely fashion.
  • Creation of monthly payment applications for capital works on projects
  • Ensuring that project managers are correctly managing variations.
  • Holding a minimum of monthly 1-2-1s with all project managers to ensure that the projects tracker is kept up to date as well as any financial forecasts and to allow for POEM dates to be adjusted as required.
  • Oversee the administration of items relating to the costing of projects.
  • Achieve financial budget targets set by the Account Manager
  • Compliance with and record keeping for Company ISO Quality Management Systems.
  • Other reasonable activities as necessary
