Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
Equans is looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Bellshill, ML4 3NJ on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
- Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Complete all relevant paperwork in relation to PPM, reactive and breakdown works.
- Update CAFM system in real time providing full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
- Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
- Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours, taking part in the regional on-call rota
- There will be a requirement to work out of hours to fulfil our maintenance commitments of our customers.
- Any other task as directed by the contract manager

Who are we looking for?
- A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
- FGas certification essential
- Trade qualified AC Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
- Must have a full clean drivers’ licence.
- Legionella awareness (preferable – can provide training)
- Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
- MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
- First aid trained (preferable but not essential)

Harwell is Moderna new Innovation and Technology Centre (MITC) site which is responsible for the development and manufacture of its pharmaceutical products. The site consists of manufacturing, clean rooms, laboratory, office and plant rooms. The nature of their business requires their Lab and manufacturing areas to meet clean room standards.
What will you deliver?
- PPM Execution & Documentation: Carry out all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as per the maintenance specification and ensure that completion is documented in real time using the PDA, including logging start/wait/stop times, travel times, and detailed comments to evidence completion
- Paperwork & Reporting: Complete all necessary paperwork related to PPM, reactive maintenance, and breakdowns. Submit it promptly to the contract administrator and ensure supplementary documentation or e-forms are completed as instructed by your line manager
- Customer Interaction & System Updates: Regularly update the customer's Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system with real-time progress, including accurate start/wait/stop times and full descriptions of works undertaken. Ensure all follow-on work is communicated appropriately
- Reactive Tasks & Improvements: Ensure that reactive tasks are completed efficiently and proactively identify areas for improvement. Report and record any plant failures using quotation forms and submit them to your line manager. Ensure these are also recorded within the CAFM system
- Fault Management: Swiftly address plant faults and defects to ensure plant remains in serviceable order. Perform work in line with delegated authority and the applicable contract, or as authorized by the client

Electrical Shift Engineer
EQUANS is looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to join our team at Media City in Salford on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off. The shifts consist of 2x 7am-7pm followed by 2x 7pm-7am. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
EQUANS are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our existing team on the Media City Contract. This is a permanent full-time role working Shifts two days, two nights followed by four days off – 2x 7am-7pm and 2x 7pm-7am.
The Engineers primary role will be all-round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure. Have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice.
It is the Electrical Engineer’s role to act as a co-ordination point for the day-to-day activities on site between him or herself and the FM management team.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all activities allocated to his shift are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook with regards to the quality of work and Health & Safety, maintaining the 100% uptime criteria.
To ensure that there are excellent standards of response to plant failures, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently.
The individual should have a very good track record and should be capable of running the operation whilst on duty including their respective shift engineer during night shifts and subcontractors.
Ensure that any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the Engineering Supervisor / Manager.
Ensure all record keeping functions are completed on a daily basis, understanding of escalation procedures.
Be part of overtime for on site works and site cover.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements – read, and review. Carry out Point of Work risk assessment.
Subcontractor’s management.
All PPE, Uniform, tools and specialised tools will be supplied by EQUANS.
The Working Hours are Continental shift based 12 hrs on site 1 hour lunch 2 days and 2 nights shifts followed by 4 days off.

•Carry out PPM tasks and record and complete relative documents
•Carry out reactive callouts on critical systems
•Complete compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standard
•Minor installation works and testing
•Clear communication of the company vision and objectives ensuring the implementation of new procedures

Senior Quantity Surveyor
EQUANS are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to be based in Coleshill, Birmingham. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company car and benefits package.
General Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for leading all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple or high-value projects. This senior role focuses on maximising profitability, ensuring comprehensive legal and contractual compliance, and proactively managing all commercial issues. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is also tasked with overseeing the completion of applications and valuations in line with contract terms, ensuring prompt payments to subcontractors, and aligning all activities with the company's SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policy and strategy. In this capacity, the Senior QS plays a pivotal role in guiding the commercial strategy and ensuring successful project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Financial Management: Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Ensure rigorous cost control throughout the project lifecycle and manage effective cash collection. Take responsibility for financial performance, providing strategic insights to maximise profitability.
- Contract Administration: Lead the administration of contracts, including the preparation, negotiation, and finalisation of contract variations. Ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and that legal risks are minimised through robust contract management.
- Procurement and Tendering: Supervise the procurement process, ensuring the preparation of comprehensive tender documents, careful evaluation of bids, and selection of subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure procurement activities deliver the best value and align with the company’s commercial strategy.
- Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct and oversee regular valuations of work completed, manage payments to subcontractors, and prepare final accounts. Oversee profitability reporting for projects, ensuring the accuracy and robustness of financial reporting (CVRs/WCT) in collaboration with the commercial and operational teams, identifying all risks and opportunities.
- Risk Management: Take a lead role in identifying, assessing, and managing financial and contractual risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the company's interests are safeguarded at all times.

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications or Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Extensive industry experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, with substantial post-graduate experience.
- Proven track record in a senior surveying position, with direct responsibility for high-value or multiple projects.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
- Advanced proficiency in contract law, building regulations, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent numerical and data analysis skills, with experience in complex financial reporting.
- Proficiency in IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Project, Word).
- Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Als Werkvoorbereider bij Equans is geen dag hetzelfde. Afwisseling en uitdagingen kenmerken de functie. In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de planning, coördinatie, voorbereiden en realisatie van complexe projecten voor mooie opdrachtgevers binnen de industriële sector (energiebedrijven, waterschappen, stadsverwarming, Offshore etc.). Hierbij ben je als werkvoorbereider echt een spil in het web en werk je nauw samen met projectleiders en de werkplaatchef. Als werkvoorbereider ben je verantwoordelijk voor de voorbereiding voor de werkzaamheden voor onze Service Shop op het gebied van Piping & Mechanical.

- je hebt minimaal een MBO niveau 4 opleiding Werktuigbouwkunde afgerond

Voor onze opdrachtgever, het Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, onderhouden we alle uiteenlopende installaties op defensieterreinen in de regio Arnhem. Dit zijn zowel elektrotechnische- als klimaatinstallaties. Als servicecoördinator bij Equans draag je zorg voor het op zelfstandige wijze inplannen, voorbereiden, opvolgen en waar nodig afmelden van storing- en onderhoudswerkzaamheden. Jij bewaakt de voortgang en behoudt het overzicht van de status van de verschillende werkzaamheden en stroringen die lopen. Bij alles wat je doet haal jij het beste uit jezelf. Dus ook bij het:
- controleren van de 1e lijnstoringsdiagnose zodat je collega goed geïnstrueerd richting de klant gaat en de storing kan oppakken
- effectief en efficiënt inzetten van technici en onderaannemers binnen het proces
- signaleren van afwijkingen bij het naleven van contractuele afspraken met de klant
- bewaken van de voortgang en het behouden van het overzicht van de verschillende werkzaamheden en storingen
- juist administreren van de werkzaamheden in de verschillende systemen
