Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Sheffield Combined, Sheffield Law Courts Family Hearing S3 8PH on a permanent basis working 12.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.21 per hour and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday 7am - 9.30am
What will you deliver?
As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

In order to meet our customers requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.
These checks typically include:

Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Equans is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be a member of the Commercial resource supporting the operational team within the HMCTS contract where EQUANS complete Project Works. They will provide contract commercial management services and profit improvement along with focus on compliance. In addition, they may be required to support growth within the Sector on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts.
This is a junior role ideal for someone who is looking for exposure within the FM industry. We are looking for someone with some experience within a similar role, for example construction or project management.
What will you deliver?
- To assist the QS with commercial administration and management on a number of live projects
- Collate sub-contract procurement information in order to manage subcontract orders, accounts and variation accounts in line with the main contract
- Assist on post-tender internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign-off whilst ensuring within budget
- Conduct contract risk and opportunity assessment to identify these areas and plan for them accordingly to ensure pricing remains on budget without undermining Health and Safety
- Assist with subcontractor selection for new schemes, ensure the chosen subcontractor has the appropriate order and information to carry out their work, and helping to prepare procurement schedules
- Logical and auditable preparation of relevant documentation for valuation, procurement and commercial administration
- Preparation and administration of monthly applications and sub-contractor accounts in line with legal obligations
- To support the QS in the management of the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting
- Review of sub-contractor accounts and measure progress to assist in submitting valuations, preparing the submission of application for payments, final accounts, and retention release
- Monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner to ensure timely cash flow management for the Client and the group, and the supply chain
- Compile valuations with QS to prepare internal valuations to determine accurate cost reports
- Assist on completing QS documentation (i.e. client invoices) within deadlines
- Assist the QS with contractual issues and take action as required
- Process subcontractor requests for payment and issue of notices
- Ensure the Company is neither compromised nor disadvantaged by a contractual or financial arrangement
- Attend internal and external project and Company related meetings as appropriate
- Where appropriate, assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases
- Provide assistance to the finance, accounts, and estimating teams as necessary

Boiler House Operative
Equans is looking for a Boiler House Operative to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 39.375 hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern of four days on, four days off, made up of working two days 0600 - 1800 and two nights 1800 - 0600. On offer is a competitive salary plus shift allowance and benefits package.
The Boiler House is an essential element of the hospital complex, and it is essential that boilers are maintained to ensure services are delivered to the Trust.
What will you deliver?
- Responsible for the delivery of planned preventative maintenance and responding to boiler house alarms and carrying out rectifications
- Help in planning and managing periodic and cyclic maintenance activities related to the boiler plant. This will require close working and liaison between the boiler operator and the estates management team
- Keep in contact with the Help Desk via telephone, two-way radio, and hand-held PDAs
- Should the need arise the post holder will be expected to cover boiler house shifts duties at short notice to cover for annual leave and sickness
- Must be reliable, polite, and discrete as the post holder will be in contact with medical staff, service users and the general public
- Will be expected to keep good clear written records of completed Planned Preventative maintenance and Reactive work orders

Building Services Apprentice
EQUANS are looking for a Building Services Apprentice working on behalf of Calderdale Royal Hospital. This role would be a four-year apprenticeship working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
This apprenticeship offers a hands-on role focused on the maintenance, repair, and inspection of building services, systems, plant, and associated equipment. You will work proactively to ensure all tasks are carried out in line with relevant standards and operational procedures to support the safe and efficient running of the site.
The primary place of work will be Calderdale Royal Hospital, where you will gain practical, on-the-job experience. Alongside this, you will attend Leeds College of Building on a block release basis to complete the Level 3 Building Services Engineering Service & Maintenance
Engineer Apprenticeship over a four-year period.
1. Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
2. Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests under supervision.
3. Ensure that there is minimum disruption to the Wards and Departments whilst carrying out work.
4. Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health &
safety and infection control procedures.
5. Collaborate and co-operate with the Trust, partners, and colleagues to deliver a
customer focussed service
6. Where instructed, carry out repairs to the building services, plant and equipment to
ensure the safety and security of the Trust’s premises, patients, staff and visitors.
7. Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
8. Demonstrate flexibility in undertaking tasks with other trades and contractors.
9. Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand, and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers' guidelines.
10.Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, i.e. Snow clearing, gritting,
flooding, high winds, etc.
11.Maintain records as appropriate.
12.Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
13.Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop
the requirements of the service.
14.Liaise and undertake duties at other EQUANS managed projects as directed.
Qualifications:
• Apprentices should be aged 16 or over
• The applicant must have 4 GCSEs grades 9-4 (A-C).
• You must have achieved a grade 3 or above in both English and Maths for this

Key Activities:
The BD Director will be responsible for generating the leads and must keep a heathy pipeline of opportunities. What We’re Looking For

EQUANS is seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join our growing South of England team. In this dynamic and mobile role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and supporting building services across a range of client sites. About the Role
As a Mobile M&E Engineer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all building services plant and systems. You’ll deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, attend breakdowns, and provide professional, timely support to clients. With a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, you’ll be equipped to diagnose, repair, and, when necessary, supervise third-party contractor work across a wide portfolio.
You’ll also be a key contributor to site compliance and safety, working with CAFM systems and ensuring full adherence to EQUANS’ high standards in health, safety, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled PPMs and reactive maintenance tasks on M&E systems

Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements across plant and equipment

Respond to emergency breakdowns, including participation in an on-call rota

Supervise and manage third-party contractor work when required

Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met

Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems and electronic reporting tools

Provide input into condition and dilapidation reports

Liaise effectively with clients, ensuring excellent customer service

Support SHEQ requirements, including accurate and timely incident reporting
What We’re Looking For
Essential:

Recognised apprenticeship (EITB/CITB) or relevant technical qualifications

City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical/mechanical disciplines
-
18th Edition Electrical Certification
-
Broad experience with M&E services in commercial or corporate environments

Familiarity with CAFM systems

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics

L8 Awareness (Legionella control)

Full UK driving licence
Desirable:

Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH / IOSH)

Part time Afternoon Cleaner
Equans is looking for a Part time Afternoon Cleaner to join our team in Aylesbury Crown Court, HP21 7FT on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.21 per hour and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday 15:30PM - 17:30PM
What will you deliver?
As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

In order to meet our customers requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.
These checks typically include:
- Identity Verification: Passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.

- Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.

Resident Liaison Officer
Equans is looking for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our team in Leeds on a permanent basis. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
Experience of delivering social housing refurbishment or retrofit projects is preferred. From windows installations to Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Solar Panels and installation of External Wall Insulation (EWI)
What will you deliver?
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, providing clear and timely information about project plans, timelines, and progress
- Address resident concerns, complaints, or queries promptly and effectively, ensuring that issues are resolved to the satisfaction of both the resident and the company
- Conduct pre-project surveys and consultations with residents to understand their needs, preferences, and any potential issues, feeding this information back to the project team
- Prepare and distribute newsletters, letters, and other communication materials to keep residents informed about upcoming works, project milestones, and any potential disruptions.
- Provide ongoing support to residents throughout the project, including arranging temporary accommodation or other necessary provisions if required by the nature of the works
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that resident feedback is considered in project planning and execution
- Conduct post-project satisfaction surveys and follow-ups to assess resident satisfaction and identify areas for improvement

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver planned, scheduled, and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems including air handling units, fan coil units, heating, water, and drainage

Take on occasional installation and project tasks to help improve and upgrade facilities

Keep your trade knowledge sharp and up to date with relevant qualifications

Provide accurate quotations for small works and efficiently manage your workload through Maximo (our CAFM system)
